Plumeria Seaview Review

I’ve just returned from Thinadhoo island. I’ve been living in Plumeria Maldives Hotel, to be more precise in Seaview Block which is situated stone thrown to the beach (although it should be noted that it’s prohibited to swim in bikini on this island). It’s a three-minute walk to the lagoon. The island itself is very small, especially its village.

All in all there is 24 rooms in Seaview Block and it’s located far remote from the electric generator than Boutique.

The hotel occupies rather a large beach area with tables where about twice a week a boduberu show takes place. Unfortunately on my arrival some of the musicians fell ill so the show was cancelled. There’s also a nice spot on this beach from which you can watch whiptale stingrays every evening.

Although it’s not so large still there is a beautiful fresh water swimming pool within Block Boutique territory.

Rooms in Plumeria

Each block has the both types of rooms:  Deluxe and Super Deluxe.  There’s not so much difference between them. Although there’s a slight variation in price, the space of the rooms and some other insignificant details. I stayed in a Super Deluxe room which is said to provide you with a sea view but in reality there’re palms in front of the window which don’t allow you to see almost anything except a little part of the ocean.

There’s everything you need in the rooms: an air conditioning, a chair, a table, a safe, a mini-bar etc. You can see it from the photo. The mini-bar of course has its own pricelist. It should be noted that the hotel tries to charge for almost everything so it’s always better to ask beforehand if you are not sure about whether something is free or not.

The bathroom size itself is rather modest. Nevertheless there’s always a shampoo, a shower gel, soap, a toothpaste and a brush. Moreover you can take a beach towel in the Boutique Block.

The rooms are being cleaned every day.

Dining in Plumeria Seaview

In the PLumeria Seaview there’s only a bar where you can order a great range of non-alcoholic cocktails. The restaurant itself is located in the Block Boutique. I selected a full board.

As usual breakfast, dinner and supper are served as a buffet but sometimes there’s some kind of «a la carte» (where you have some options of various dishes to chose). Once they’ve served dinner on the beach (that’s a great sign of service to call it a high-level resort). The food I tried was to my liking and what is more there’s always a great range to choose from.
