Program of Cruise

Day 1: Hulhumale to Gulhi

Board the yacht at Hulhumale anchorage, a stone’s throw from Velana International airport near Male, Maldives. We set sail to leave the city bustle behind, and snorkel on an isolated reef within an hour. By lunchtime we have crossed over into South Male atoll and dropped anchor in a setting with coral reef all around. Lunch is served on board, and we spend another 2 hours snorkeling, paddleboarding, floating, swimming. Another hour of sailing brings us to a blue lagoon at Gulhi, where the water fun continues or you can take a stroll on the local island famous for boat building in the Maldivian style. Back on board for sunset cocktails, scrumptious dinner, night fishing and falling asleep to the gentle lapping of the wavelets against the hull.

(Lunch and dinner included)

Day 2: Gulhi to Guraidhoo

After breakfast in the cockpit, our day is filled with stops at different reefs and a lovely little sandbank, being active in the water or soaking up the sun on the foredeck and trampolines. At every stop the option is there to skim over the reef on a stand-up paddleboard, go kayaking, snorkel or swim, or bob around on a floaty toy with a beer in hand. We end the day at Guraidhoo, a charming local island with cafes and souvenir shops, where you will likely meet a local who will tell you of the day that the tsunami came to the Maldives.

(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 3: Guraidhoo to Rihiveli lagoon

After some more snorkeling, sandbanking and sun tanning, we arrive at the lagoon famous for its hundreds of spinner dolphins, a dolphin so named for its aerial antics of somersaults and saltos. Usually seen are plenty of baby dolphins, trying to imitate the actions of the adults, with adorable success. This lagoon is on occasion a feeding lagoon for manta rays, and we shine a floodlight at night to attract plankton, enticing the mantas to come and feed on the plankton behind the yacht.

(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 4: Rihiveli lagoon or resort visit

An optional extra is a visit to Rihiveli Island resort, a tranquil and laid back resort with perhaps the most perfect little uninhabited island. A buffet lunch is included in the rate for an island visit, but you can also spend the day on board and try to get that dolphin selfie while paddleboarding or snorkeling in the lagoon. Another evening under the stars, having a few drinks with new friends, games around the cockpit table or fishing from the back of the yacht.

(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 5: Back to North Male from South Male

A leisurely cruise with snorkeling stops takes us back in the direction of North Male atoll, and as we cruise next to the reefs you can try your hand at hooking a Big Game Fish, which would make a perfect addition to the dinner BBQ.

(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 6: The last day

After breakfast and morning swim, a short sail takes us back to Hulhumale lagoon, and the cruise ends at 11am in Hulhumale lagoon.
